Regional Research Institute for Homoeopathy, Gudivada is working under Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy, Ministry of AYUSH, Govt. of India for carrying out research and treatment in the field of homoeopathic system of medicine. |
INCEPTION AND UPGRADATION

Regional Research Institute (H), Gudivada was initially established as a Clinical Research in Indian Medicine and Homoeopathy, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, in the year 1957 as a research wing in the premises of Dr. Gururaju Homoeopathic Hospital. It was separated as Clinical research unit (H) in the year 1978 under Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy, Ministry of Health and Family welfare, New Delhi. Later it was upgraded to Regional Research Institute, Gudivada in the year 1982 and functioned in the premises of Dr. Gururaju govt. Homoeopathic Hospital, Gudivada near railway station. It was shifted later to Patimeeda, Gudivada Clinical Research Unit (Tribal), Vijayawada merged with RRI (H), Gudivada in the year 2006. From December, 2011, the Institute is functioning in the new buildings constructed by CPWD funded by CCRH, Min. of AYUSH, Govt of India, in the campus of Dr.GGH Medical College Campus having ground floor, first floor, second floor and third floor. |

The institute has a library with over 389 reference books, annual reports, newsletters, dictionaries, encyclopaedia, journals and newspapers to provide adequate information to the readers. The Officers/staff of the institute visit the library for latest updates in journals and other textbooks. Its membership is open to Officers/staff of the Institute. Working hours of the Library are from 9:30 am to 4:10 pm. in office working day. |

Future Vision
FUTURE VISION FOR RRI (H), Gudivada |
• RRI (H), Gudivada has proposed for its up gradation as “Centre of excellence for Rheumatological disorders.” The proposal is under the process of making necessary modifications as per the scheme guidelines. • The scientists of this institute are preparing research protocols on rheumatological disorders are in the process of getting approvals by scientific committees. • Additional equipment such as multi exercise therapy unit (physiotherapy) and Dexa scan (BMD) machine are required. • We are moving forward for acquiring NABH accreditation. |
