Inception and Upgradation :
Year of Inception – Clinical Research Unit (H) was started functioning in a rented building atAgartala in 1984.
Upgradation - This institute has been shifted to its own building in the TTAADC Hqtrs complex, Khumulwng on 10/02/2017 and was upgraded as Regional Research Institute of Homoeopathy from 17-04-2017.

OPD:-The institute is running two General OPDs from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm daily except second Saturdays, Sunday and Gazetted holidays. A total of 10,033 patients have availed homoeopathic medical facilities from general OPD during FY- 2022-2023 period. IPD:-Yet to be started.

Built-up area:-01 main building with02 Type – III &02 Type IV quarter complex with all modern facilities.

The land was provided free of cost by the Govt. of Tripura. There is a provision for thirty bedded indoor facility. A Yoga and Naturopathy unit cum OPD is co-located within the campus and it is fully functional. At present the institute has a full fledge OPD and Laboratory facilities along with speciality clinic of Rheumatology and MCH. The institute carries out researches in the field of Clinical Verification, Drug Validation, Collaborative Research and Clinical Researches with focusing development of Homoeopathic system of medicine in the line of scientific researches. Some public health programme like Health survey camps in SC dominated areas, Awareness health camps are also run by the institute.
The Institute is a no profit no loss organization carrying out research in the field of homoeopathy as per the latest parameters followed in the scientific world. Apart from the research, the institute is providing best services to the patients through General OPD, Research OPD and health camps. All the patients of General OPD, Research OPD patients and the patients treated in camps are provided the service free of cost in regard to consultation, medicine charges, laboratory test charges etc. As demand of homoeopathy in this area is beyond our expectation this institute may be further equipped with sophisticated instruments like X-Ray, USG, CT Scan etc. Quality of services may be further improved up to the standard of NABH. This institute may be developed as one of the best institute of CCRH in Eastern region of India.
