CCRH SCHOLARSHIPS FOR “QUALITY MD DISSERTATIONS IN HOMOEOPATHY”
Scheme Guidelines - 2025

Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy (CCRH) is an apex research organization facilitating scientific research in Homoeopathy. The Council initiates, develops, undertakes and coordinates scientific research in fundamental and applied aspects of Homoeopathy.
Under its initiative of Linking research with education and as a step forward in encouraging research aptitude, the Council provides scholarships for “Quality MD Dissertations in Homoeopathy” to the selected postgraduate homeopathic doctors based on definite criteria.
The scholarships are primarily aimed at promoting good quality research in homoeopathy as well as improving the visibility and accessibility of the research work of young postgraduate doctors to a larger research audience.
1. Scholarship
The Council provides a total scholarship of Rs. 35,000/- (thirty-five thousand only) to the selected candidates.
There is also a provision for additional scholarship of Rs.15,000/- to the MD scholarship awardees in case he/she is able to publish their research work in a peer-reviewed journal listed in the UGC care list within 2 years of receiving the scholarship award.

Number of scholarships is limited to 35 per year, upto 5 for each subject of MD course as mentioned below:

2. Eligibility
Medical postgraduates in Homoeopathy who have completed the MD (Hom.) course in first attempt through recognized College/University by National Commission of Homoeopathy. may submit their dissertations for applying under the scheme within 1 year of declaration of result of their MD course. (Result declaration period between 01-01-2024 to 31-12-2025).
3. Procedure for application
Step 1. Visit the CCRH website https://ccrhindia.ayush.gov.in/
The applications under the Scholarship scheme are invited once in a year between 1st to 31st December, which shall be displayed on the website.
The last date/time for submission of application this year is 31st December 2025, 24:00 hours. Read the scheme guidelines carefully before applying.
MD scholarship scheme is channeled through email communication. The email ID for communication regarding Scholarship Scheme 2025 is ccrh.mdscholarship.2025@gmail.com
Step 2. Registration
To register, a candidate may fill and submit the application form which can be downloaded from the CCRH website.
Along with the application form the following documents in pdf form, for each point given below would be required at the time of registration to be sent in the email:
a) Two scanned copies of dissertations in readable pdf format, of which, one will be original copy with all the duly signed certificates in pre pages (pdf file size <5MB), and the other a blinded copy of dissertation pages (pdf file size <5MB). (Please ensure that the blinded copy should have a black highlight or black box over the name of candidate, guide, college, university, symbols of college, university, laboratory, place, hospital, OPD name, contact details and signatures from the front page throughout the dissertation including all the annexures. The file should be named as ‘candidates full name_blinded/non blinded’ e.g. Rekha Singh_blinded’, (5 MB + 5 MB). (Annexure I and II)
b) Undertaking by the candidate. (Annexure III)
c) Copies of MD Degree/ Provisional Pass Certificate/ Declared result of MD Degree examination/ Marksheet of passing MD part I and part II. (Annexure IV)
All these may be emailed in a single email to the above-mentioned email ID by 31st December 2025 till 24:00 hours. Subject of the email should clearly spell the purpose and year of application under the scheme as ‘‘Application for CCRH Scholarship scheme for ‘Quality MD Dissertations in Homoeopathy’, 2025”.
Please ensure that only a single pdf (compressed file size, <2MB) be shared in which the application form, is followed by undertaking by candidate, and proof of qualifying MD degree.
Please ensure that there are 3 pdfs attached in the email i.e., an original duly signed scanned copy of dissertation, blinded scanned copy of dissertation, and a merged pdf of all the remaining documents as instructed above.
Note:
(1) Candidates who do not submit the correct or complete information while filling out the registration form shall not be considered eligible and shall not be contacted by CCRH for any clarification/submission of missing information.
(2) The Council will not be responsible if the student is unable to submit the application and required annexures in time due to any reason whatsoever and a request for an extension of the last date will not be considered.
(3) Requests for change in any submitted information or addition etc. shall not be entertained. Information submitted by the candidate in the email shall be considered as final.
(4) Duplicate entries / more than one email from candidate shall not be considered and his/ her candidature shall be disqualified, whatever may be the reason.
(5) In case of any doubt the candidate may send an email upto a week before the last date for timely resolution.
(6) The blinded copy of the dissertation should not have any marks of identification about the candidate or the organization. If any such identifying information shall be found in this file, the candidature shall not be considered.
Procedure for Selection
Step 3. Evaluation
The candidates who apply under the scheme and are found eligible, will be shortlisted by the Internal Review Committee of the CCRH based on a blinded review of dissertations by two experts.
Applicants securing 60% or more marks after internal blinded review shall be shortlisted. All the applications received shall be evaluated according to the committee on parameters like but not limited to:
- Innovativenes
- Relevance of work
- Study design
- Application of research
- Study outcome
- CTRI registration in case of clinical trial
The list of the shortlisted candidates shall be displayed on the CCRH website.
Step 4. Presentation before experts
The shortlisted candidates would be invited for a short presentation of their work before the panel of experts for final selection of the awardees.
The Council will provide TA & DA restricted to 2nd class AC rail fare and accommodation as per the rules of Govt. of India, to the shortlisted candidates invited for the presentation.
Shortlisted candidates when they appear for their presentation before experts shall be required to carry 03 hard copies of their dissertation with signature pages and 05 copies of their manuscript. One hard bound copy (black and white/colored) of original dissertation with duly signed certificates in the pre-pages, shall have to be submitted at CCRH (Hqs). The copy will be retained and will not be returned to the candidate.
Sample format for preparation of manuscript is given below. The format, however, may vary depending upon the type of the study.
SAMPLE FORMAT FOR PREPARATION OF MANUSCRIPT
The candidate may follow the following guidelines while preparing the manuscript:
The text of the manuscript should be upto 3000 words (excluding Abstract, References and Tables) and divided into sections with the headings: Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion and References.
1. Title - A good title should be short, accurate and concise. It should not exceed 50 characters.
2. Abstract - The manuscript should have a structured abstract of 250 words, representing an accurate summary of the article.
3. Keywords - Three or more keywords should be provided.
4. Introduction - It should include the rationale, brief review of relevant literature and objectives of the study in about 75‐ 100 words.
5. Materials and Methods - Describe all the procedures that were used to achieve the objectives and justify the study design including any technique(s) and procedure(s) used. These include study setting; selection of samples; inclusion/ exclusion criteria; study design; intervention; selection of tools; brief of procedures; outcome assessment; data collection; statistical techniques & data analysis; ethical issues, if any.
6. Results - Present your results in a logical sequence through the text, tables and illustrations, giving the important findings.
7. Discussion - Discuss the results and do not repeat them. Compare your findings with those of other related studies whether in agreement or disagreement. Strengths and limitations of the study should be discussed.
8. Conclusion - Consolidated findings, their implications and recommendations for future research should be mentioned.
9. References - Appropriate references from recently published journals/literature supporting the research study should be provided. There are many styles that can be used for referencing. In bio-medical publications, Vancouver referencing style and the Harvard citation style are commonly used. However, Vancouver referencing style is preferred.

Step 5. Final selection for scholarship
An Expert Committee with the following composition will take the final decision after presentation:
1. Chairman – Director General, CCRH
2. Two experts nominated by Director General, CCRH
3. Two nominee officers from CCRH
4. One member from Ethical Committee
5. Member Secretary – Deputy Director General, CCRH
Step 6. Declaration of Result
The result of the MD Scholarship awardees for the year shall be displayed on the CCRH website. No individual emails/ intimation shall however be sent.
Step 7. Additional Scholarship for MD Scholarship Awardees
There is also a provision for additional scholarship of Rs.15000/- to the MD scholarship awardees in case he/she is able to publish their research work in a peer-reviewed journal listed in the UGC care list within 2 years of receiving the scholarship award regarding which information may be shared by the candidate in the same email ID where he/ she had applied. The period of two years shall be considered as the next two financial years. E.g., for the year 2025, a candidate may publish his/ her study until March 2028 and intimate us about the same maximum by April 2028.
