Dr Subhash Kaushik is the Director General of Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy since 16th February 2022. He is responsible for the policy, planning and execution of research and administrative functions of the Council. CCRH is undertaking a number of clinical research studies and collaborations with homoeopathic medical colleges and institutes of repute.

Starting his career as a Junior Research Fellow in the Council, he has 29 years of research and clinical experience. He has actively worked on developing, designing, implementing and publishing research studies in clinical research and clinical verification. He has actively worked on COVID-19 treatment and prevention studies, respiratory and dermatological clinical research studies and has treated lakhs of cases in his OPD at Homoeopathic Treatment Centre, Safdarjung Hospital, OPD of Dr. D.P. Rastogi Central Research Institute for Homoeopathy (DDPRCRIH) and CGHS Wellness centre, Supreme Court of India.

He was the Hospital in-charge of DDPRCRIH Noida. Prior to this he was also the OPD and IPD In-charge at the hospital and Hindi Liaison Officer at the institute. He has also been the Chief Public Information Officer, Nodal Public Grievance Officer, Chairman – Central Purchase Committee, member of selection committee for different technical, administrative and paramedial posts, other than being Hindi Sampark Adhikari at CCRH headquarters.

He has more than 70 publications in research journals and books to his credit, has organized and participated in more than 200 training programs, seminars and conferences and has been an active speaker on radio & television on Homoeopathy.

Other than his PhD in Homoeopathy he is also a graduate in biology and post-graduate in business administration. He was the recipient of WHO Fellowship for the year 2016-17 on “Statistical Methods for Epidemiological and Clinical Research” at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, UK.

Homoepathy was discovered by a German Physician, Dr. Christian Friedrich Samuel Hahnemann (1755-1843), In the late eighteen century. It is a therapetic systemof medicine premised on the principle,"Similia Similibus Curentur" or 'let likes be treated by likes'. It is a method of treatment for curring the patient by medicines that posses the power of producing similar symptoms in a human being simulating the natural disease, which it can cure in the diseased person, It treates the patients not only through holistic approach but also considers individuaistic characteristics of the person. This concepts of 'Law of Similars' was also enuncaited by Hippocrates and Paracelsus, but Dr. Hahnemann established it on a scientific footing despite the fact that he lived in an age when modern laboratory methods were almost unknown.
