About us
Homoeopathy Research Institute for Disabilities, Chennai The Clinical Research Unit (H) Chennai was established in the November 1987 at No:14, 11th Cross Street, Sasthrinagar, Adayar Chennai-600020 in the accommodation provided by the ISM&H, Dept., Govt of Tamil Nadu, Chennai. An MOU was signed between CCRH, Ministry of AYUSH and NIPMED, Chennai under Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan), Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of India for collaboration in the field of Homoeopathic research for developing standards of care for persons with multiple disabilities in 2017 and the OPD was initiated in the NIEPMD Campus at Room No:8 &13 with effect from 12.10.2017. The unit is renamed as Homoeopathy Research Institute for Disabilities and shifted to National Institute for Empowerment of Persons with Multiple Disabilities (Divyangjan), Chennai on 3rd August 2018.

5) Online Lectures/ nutritional health talks by the officers/ scientist of Council Institutes/ Units having mass coverage for schools during the Poshan Mah and Poshan Pakhwada.
6) Participating in the National Arogya Melas held at Chennai, Coimbatore, Nellore(AP), and Bengaluru (Karnataka) Organised by the Dept of AYUSH, Ministry of &Health &Family Welfare, Govt of India , New Delhi in Coordination with ITPO & FICCI etc, by displaying the publicity materials like posters, Brochures, slides, Translates, materials relating to the CCRH & Homoeopathy., by creating awareness about homoeopathic system of medicine among the public (IEC) By providing free consultations and free treatment by dispensing free Homoeopathic medicines to the needy patients.

Future vision
FUTURE PLAN |
Regional Scientific Advisory committee and Ethical committee has been formed for the unit to review the research work done at the centre; overview the target research areas; screen and review new research proposals. The details of the committee placed as Annexure 6 . The unit/Institute is proposed to be developed as Centre of Excellence for treatment of persons with disabilities with Homoeopathy and conduct high-quality research. A joint research study under International MOU between CCRH and College of Homeopaths of Ontario (CHO), Toronto, Canada shall also be taken up, whose initial feasibility study on role of Homoeopathy in ADHD in Children is being initiated in a pragmatic approach with Clinical Psychologist from NIPEMD as co-investigator. |
