IV. Ongoing Public Health Research Programs
The institute has recently completed field-based data collection for several important public health initiatives and submitted the datasets to CCRH Headquarters for centralized analysis and publication:
1. Menstrual Health Program – Phase 1
Data collected from school-going adolescent girls to assess menstrual hygiene awareness and health-related challenges, aiming to integrate preventive Homoeopathic care.
2. Drug Utilization and Evaluation Study under AKAM
Arsenicum album 30 was distributed under the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav campaign. A follow-up study to assess drug utilization patterns, compliance, and perceived effectiveness was completed.
3. Prevalence of Malnutrition under SCSP
As part of the Scheduled Caste Sub-Plan (SCSP) initiative, field camps were conducted to gather baseline nutritional data. The goal is to evaluate the scope of Homoeopathy in nutritional support and preventive care.
All data from the above programs have been compiled and shared with CCRH Headquarters, New Delhi, for detailed processing, analysis, and publication.
These efforts underscore RRIH Shimla’s continuing leadership in advancing evidence-based Homoeopathic research, community health integration, and collaborative public health innovation in alignment with the goals of the Ministry of AYUSH.
