Union Catalogue of CCRH Libraries

The Library has developed a Union Catalogue that contains bibliographic records of books which are available in various libraries of CCRH & its Institutes/Units. Union catalogue lists holdings of more than 20 libraries under CCRH.

This system has been developed with an aim to help research scholars, students, and staff to check the information of available resources in any of these libraries as books, theses, reference material including encyclopedias, dictionaries, Pharmacopeias, etc.The catalogue contains bibliographic information of library collections including title, author(s)/ editor(s), subject(s), imprint, etc. This union database will save the researcher’s valuable time by not only searching for specific library type but also item type at one place. In a single click user can search the bibliographic records using different parameters i.e. Title, Author, Subject, Publisher, Place, Year etc.

Homoepathy was discovered by a German Physician, Dr. Christian Friedrich Samuel Hahnemann (1755-1843), In the late eighteen century. It is a therapetic systemof medicine premised on the principle,"Similia Similibus Curentur" or 'let likes be treated by likes'. It is a method of treatment for curring the patient by medicines that posses the power of producing similar symptoms in a human being simulating the natural disease, which it can cure in the diseased person, It treates the patients not only through holistic approach but also considers individuaistic characteristics of the person. This concepts of 'Law of Similars' was also enuncaited by Hippocrates and Paracelsus, but Dr. Hahnemann established it on a scientific footing despite the fact that he lived in an age when modern laboratory methods were almost unknown.
