About us
Regional Research Institute for Homoeopathy, Siliguri is a NABH entry-level certified Ayush institution functioning under Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy, New Delhi, Ministry of AYUSH, Govt. of India. It is located in the foothills of the Himalayas in Northern West Bengal, which came into existence w.e.f 1st April 1984. Darjeeling District is the northernmost district of the state of West Bengal. Being a single Research Institute in Homeopathy in the northern part of West Bengal it endeavours to cater evidence-based homoeopathic health care needs of millions of people extending up to 40 districts including states of Bihar, Assam, Sikkim along with neighbouring countries of Nepal, Bhutan, and Bangladesh. Currently, it is functional with 1450 Sq. Mtr. Floor area with G+2 structured building. Clinical Research Unit for Homoeopathy, Siliguri was upgraded to Regional Research Institute for Homoeopathy, Siliguri in September 2022. The Institute intends to develop itself into a center of excellence in Non-Communicable Diseases keeping in the background the amount of enormous research that has been carried out from 2016 to 2021 through our pilot study on NPCDCS by integration of Yoga and Homoeopathy. For the last 10 years, the institute has served more than 2 lakh population in this region, and with its newly upgradation into RRI(H) it intends to increase by ten folds. We are also the member of NARAKASH, Siliguri, securing first position for the implementation of Hindi in the institute for the year 2024-25 in the category of central government offices. The future vision of the RRI(H), Siliguri is to provide more research and engagement in public health, NCDs, and the overall development and promotion of the Homoeopathic system of medicine through evidence-based scientific research.
