Future vision
VISION AND MISSION |
• The unit has recently shifted to a better location, where it will be more visible and approachable to the people of Sikkim, as well as the impending problems of having a well-ventilated and spaced-out laboratory, as per NABH standards, can be made. • Currently, the laboratory is not in a very workable condition, even though the machines and equipment are available. We want to start the laboratory as per NABH guidelines in the new location. • Laboratory facilities: Only FBS, PPBS and RBS are available; the other laboratory instruments are not installed due to lack of proper space for machines • Once our laboratory becomes fully functional, it can be a big attraction for the patients and the footfall of the patients can increase accordingly. • Subsequently, CRU, Gangtok can be upgraded to a regional research institute in the same premises if all goes as per the plan. |
FUTURE PLAN (Reforms proposed) |
• CRU (T), Gangtok unit is situated in a rented house from inception; Own land acquisition process should be started soon • A library may be planned in the new location • Initiating new studies as per regional diseases • Efforts will be made to upgrade this unit into a regional research institute. |
