Dr. K.C Muraleedharan BHMS, M.D (Hom.), Asst.Director &Officer in charge; Scientist -4 at National Homoeopathy Research Institute in Mental Health, Kottayam (NHRIMH) under Central Council for Research in Homeopathy. He is Scientist-4. His scientific career started on 20.11.1995 when he joined the Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy at the erstwhile Central Research Institute (H), Kottayam (CRIH), as a Research Assistant. After a short tenure in Kottayam, he joined as Asst. Research Officer (H) in Regional Research Institute for Homoeopathy, Mumbai, on 1.09.1997 and became the Officer in Incharge of the Institute and served more than 21 years there. After that, he joined the National Homoeopathy Research Institute in Mental Health on 26.05.2017 and became the Officer in Incharge of the Institute on 16.08.2019.
He has worked on several projects like Behavioural disorders, Rheumatology, and the longest stint as an investigator in various projects on HIV/AIDS and has immensely contributed to developing various HIV research Protocols of the Council. He underwent many training programs in HIV and Research, such as Introduction to HIV/AIDS Research/ Introduction to Training Methodology CARAT (Cell for AIDS Research Action & Training) Dept. of Medical and Psychiatric social work, Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai In December 2002; "Einstein AITRP-India training for AIDS Researchers" at Nair Hospital, Mumbai organized by the Dept. of Microbiology in collaboration with Albert Einstein College of Medicine, New York, the USA in 2008. Apart from these, he completed the Middle Tier training Programme for AYUSH Officers at IIM (Ahmadabad) in April 2011; he has undergone training for Anu Rheography and Medical analyzer at Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) Mumbai. Other training programs attended were the RBSK training program, the Induction training Program on Pharmacovigilance for ASU &H drugs, the Training program for National Oral Health Programme at CDER, at AIIMS, New Delhi, and Ethics committee training on ICMR national ethical Guidelines at St. John's Medical College, Bengaluru. He has more than 16 peer-reviewed publications in his credit and is a reviewer in several national and international journals. He has presented several papers at National and International Conferences in India and abroad. He has also been entrusted as the Coordinator of the Peripheral Pharmaco Vigilance program for ASU &H drugs.
