About Us

This Institute was established by the Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy, New Delhi, as a Clinical Research Unit for Homoeopathy (CRUH) on the campus of ChandabenMohanbhai Patel Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital, Vile Parle, Mumbai, in February 1979. It was upgraded and renamed as the Regional Research Institute for Homoeopathy (R.R.I. (H)) in July 1987. Then RRI (H) shifted to CBD Belapur, Navi Mumbai (Rented accommodation) in April 2010. Foundation stone laid for the construction of its own building at Sector 18, Kharghar, Navi Mumbai on 28th December 2015 by Shri Shripad Naik, former Hon’ble Minister of State (IC), Ministry of AYUSH.

Now the Institute has shifted to new premises, its own campus located at Plot no. 38 & 39, Sector 18, Kharghar, Navi Mumbai. It is the only premier research institute in the state of Maharashtra under CCRH, Ministry of AYUSH, Govt. Of India. It was inaugurated by Shri Sarbananda Sonowal, Cabinet Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways and the Cabinet Minister of AYUSH, Government of India, in the presence of Local MLA Shri Prashant Thakur and Director General CCRH Dr. Subash Kaushik on 30th July 2022. This institute is dedicated to providing the best, personalised healthcare with research expertise in the field of homoeopathy.

The Institute has been established with its focus on research and engaged in the overall development and promotion of the Homoeopathic system of medicine through scientific research. There is a full-fledged hospital setup. Presently, OPD & Laboratory facilities along with speciality clinics viz. Rheumatology and Dermatology Clinics are running successfully within the Institute. Apart from catering to the needs of the patients, the institute carries out research in the field of Drug Proving and Clinical Research along with other out-reach activities like health camps in schedule caste predominant areas, Swasthya Rakshan Program & Homoeopathy for Healthy Child etc.

The Institute endeavors to keep pace with the time and conduct research on the scientific parameters without deviating from the principles of homoeopathy, so that the results of these scientific studies may be used not only by the homoeopathic fraternity but also by the scientific world for the betterment of mankind as well. Apart from the primary focus, the Institute is also developing a Resource Centre of Information on Homoeopathy.
